Strip Designer App Reviews

Im amending my review and upgrading my rating to 5 stars with the latest update! Thank you to the developers! This is a truly great app! Appears to be a problem with this latest update. I select the text and select the color but It remains whatever the default color is.

For ease of use and functionality this app is the best in its class. The others I tried were clunky and difficult to use but I prefer landscape mode and the draw on capability of the pics. In future updates I would like to see a frames section added where we can choose nice borders like the old Picture-It by Microsoft on a pc. Love being able to use an Apple pencil as well. A bit more on the draw options would be nice but being able to use the Camera Roll to upload provides workarounds. App remains well supported and not restricted to square like some others that do frames but do not have landscape mode. Very necessary for photo art or incorporating originals.

I have used this app for several years and as a professional artist, I really think it does a lot. The stickers are great for comics and collaging images. I left a negative review on the last update because the app stopped working. A few days later I was contacted by the app developer and he worked with me to get an update that worked. That level if dedication is rare!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this application. I love the fact that it seeing frequent updates as well as has the best functionality amongst its peers.

Ive been using this app for over a year. Its great for making photo collages. I recently had an issue and had to contact the developers. I received a reply the same day and their suggestion resolved my issue. Great customer service, great app. Still using it all the time.

I hate to be that person who criticizes an otherwise great app for one bad feature, but the feature is so important... The quote box tails. They are really not shaped right, and its painful because the rest of the app is SO good. But the tails are just poorly shaped, too chunky, and when you put them at an angle (as you often must in comics), the tail base awkwardly protrudes over the box edge and its just wrong. They just dont look good at all. Please fix this in a future release. Youve thought of everything except what quote box tails really should look like. Other comic apps do handle this better, so it can be done. My review: Great app unless you need dialogue.

I use it for promo posters. It is so much fun and a bargain. Well worth it!

Never have I used an app that was everything I wanted it to be and more, that is, until I started using Strip Designer. My creations may be as entertaining as a home movie but, that doesnt mean I dont recognize a GREAT APP when I use one! This is truly the way software should be done... with little room for afterthought.

I love making lego comics but this app is a TAD pricey

If you are serious about comics, this is the ONLY app to get. The others are nothing more than toys and are less elegant and less easy to use. Strip Designer has everything you need and is versatile. You can even create your own layouts. The balloon tool is top notch. Adding the fonts you need is easy. Simply a great app thats useful even to professionals.

This program is much better than comic strip or any of the other comic apps. You can actually make pages with multiple layouts and pictures just like a real comic book. You get so many options, and it lets you be creative. The filters could be better but no complaints Honestly I think the reason this app isnt more popular is because of the name, it needs to have the word comic in it somewhere!

You super amazing app that Ive bragged about to people is locking up since the last update. Fix it!!!

Horrible app, nothing good about it OH MY GOD! everything is limited and ugly and bad designed and looks excessively cheap! Do not waste your money, I bet the previous reviews are made by the developers themselves..

Is good only for pictures...make pictures into a simple comic strip. If u want to make a comic strip with your drawings and make it look awesome, this is not the app. :-

Oh my gosh. This really is an awesome app. Well worth the few bucks it cost. Its already helped my workflow, since I draw mostly on my iPad with ArtRage already. Feature requests: Drag and drop panels rather than cut/paste, etc. Would also love to see tumblr added to sharing options.

I like the update. The thing wrong is when I try opening the pages on the left side, it always closes back up with out opening.

Every shortcut imaginable is built into this super thorough app. If you are serious about making a web comic or even a comic to print this is the app! You can even download all the major comic fonts from any website and directly install into the app. I used to create everything in photoshop. Now I just use PS to just create the art and drop it into strip designer. You can even iCloud your progress and continue on another device. This is a really fun app to work with and it literally cut my production in half.

How do I get back to the previous version? You had a great app until the update. None of the panels will copy correctly; the "floating" vs. "attached" additions have a mind of their own; and no defaults carry over either. Sorry to say as I really was using this app a ton.

I absolutely LOVE this app! One of the best purchases Ive bought on iPad. I use it for creating comics out of my drawings instead of photos everyday. Two Request: Please add the "send to" social network, Tumblr. I would like to be able to scroll from back to front of a series of comics instead of starting all the way from the beginning. Especially if there is 20 drawings in a series.
